ASM is the ULTIMATE NA S2000 in the world. The car is worthy of entering the car as a GT300 race car. The engine is a fully built by TODA and it features a 2.4L ITB engine. Everything on this car makes it the ultimate cornering machine. It still holds the record for being the fastest NA car at Tsukuba and has won the FR NA Class 5 years in a row.
In terms of budget, the ASM team used fresh tire each session. Then an mechanic from TODA would check the cylinder wall and adjust ECU setting after each session. A team from AP Engineering was also there to measure rotor temperature to monitor brake performance.
Due to lap traffic and track condition, ASM S2000 was not able to break their previous lap records. Their goal was to hit 0:56 second lap but the car seemed to step sideways on corner entry.
